Contributions to my Learning (EDLD 5304)

Looking back at this class, I realize just how much I liked it and how much I learned. This class helped me look at a variety of ways to help combat some of the resistance that I will face when implementing my new Innovation Plan at my district. I have also realized that I still have planning and studying to do with all the information that we received in this course. The books that we read have been some of the most beneficial that I have had in this degree plan so far.

I will admit that when I started my degree program, I was not happy about having to have a collaboration group. I felt like it was just "one more thing" that I'd have to do for class. However, these classmates that I've ended up in groups with have been invaluable as I move through the program. This was my fifth class and my group collaborators were kind of mixed this time. First, I had the same group from my last class which consisted of Nicole L, Sarra J, Stacey M, and Cynthia T. We have a text message group that we would communicate in throughout the class. I also communicated on a regular basis with Shannon B. and Stephanie W. as I worked closely with them in previous classes. Having a variety of people has been very beneficial in my growth.

I noticed that after I completed my ePortfolio class last term, I didn't do many blog posts in this class. I was worried that would be a concern for me when it wasn't a requirement for the class. Going forward, I will try to make more of an attempt to write blog posts. I also noticed that I struggled with attending the live classes with my schedule, however I really enjoy having the recordings available right after class was over. This allowed me to watch and replay the recordings as I had time to devote to them.

I made sure to contribute to each discussion post but did not reply as much as I had originally set out to. But, I did get a lot of good information out of the discussion topics and I enjoyed the different videos that were tied to each one. I find that the videos help me understand something that may have been a bit of a struggle for me.

In addition to the discussion posts, I created a Why, How, and What plan and reflection, an Influencer Strategy, a 4DX plan, and a reflection on the importance of crucial conversations.

In conclusion, I believe that this class was beneficial and very helpful in creating ways to help approach my Innovation Plan with my colleagues. I have left my grade that I feel I deserve on this reflection on the assignment in my class.
